First, this is completely in the wrong section. which is probably the reason for a lack of answers. I’m guessing the word relative suggested it go into geneology. But it should have been changed over into some form of automotive section.

Second, I doubt you will find any car for free. Unless you are giving up your own car. You could try a police auction, to get a car for really cheap. But dont expect much if you’re not willing to pay a whole lot. Especially the condition of the car and how well it runs. Check with your local law enforcements office or website as they usually post that sort of stuff. And be sure to check police and sheriff, as sometimes both do this.

Only in America why on earth does someone have so many children and then can not afford to provide for them everything I have had in my life I have paid for myself I have never relied on charity I can hold my head up high and feel proud of myself , I have paid my way and I have two daughters and they both have jobs as well as one in University who is just finishing her degree to become a teacher my other daughter going into the R.A.F so they will be part of the population that pays taxes and their bills not being a leach on the government.

Everywhere I have lived they have these various contests, such as whoever keeps their hand on a car the longest time gets to keep the car; raflles, etc.

I would also suggest contacting family services (or whatever they call it in CT.

There are several out there , But you must provide a credit card (no one in their right mind will just give you a car without security, You pay your own insurance and yes believe it or not you have to pay your own fuel . AWWWW! Boo Hoo ) Still not a bad deal to get a new vehicle , And they pay the maintenance for the vehicle. Or you can have your own vehicle wrapped and they pay you. But they will not accept junk cars and the rules are still the same . If you are looking for a totally free ride , keep smokin` whatever you have . I drive a new Ford F350 diesel every 2 years and get all sorts of promo items , just by driving a rolling billboard. Try typing “free cars ” and see what you come up with. Otherwise hold your breath and keep dreaming. Oh! and you must be over 25. And you have to pay a $ 30-$ 40 registration fee every 2 years . Have fun.

I have heard of these as well and started looking into it several years ago. That one had some specific rules like keep it clean constantly, and don’t break any traffic laws (e.x. speeding.) They actually put a GPS on there to make sure you aren’t speeding! That was a little too much for me

You can’t afford a car…so you say, yet you have internet access, and you think that you could afford insurance and registration, gas, repairs? unless you plan on not having insurance and not taking care of a vehicle.

Asking for free handouts isnt a good way to get yourself out of a hole. Tons of people work without a car. Especially students in college. Move on campus. and get a job near campus and then ride a bike. Or perhaps get a second job. You seem to have time to mess around online. My 13 year old made over 6 grand last summer mowing lawns. If a 13 year old can figure out how to make that kind of money, surely a college student could.

I wish you the best of luck and i am sorry to hear about your parents.

It sucks that there are so many liars and thieves out there that when i hear your story i think that you are scamming.

I would think that any “free” car you would be getting would be old/older and there is a problem there in that most cars some one would ‘charity’ out would generally need about 50-250 a month to keep them on the road and that is if its a good car. Plus INS, and gas all of which you are going to need to come up with yourself. I suggest a bicycle, change jobs after letting your manager know your circumstances. Don’t ask for charity though, it is a huge turn off and makes most people apprehensive about helping you, especially employers.

Besides, hand outs have always made me feel bad about myself. I feel way better about my accomplishments when i achieve them on my own, but then again i do not know your circumstances.

Go choice to keep pursuing school though.

cars are expensive so even if someone would give you one( which i doubt) there will be future costs gas, repairs, etc, bus is cheaper
